New Jewish Settlement In Hevron Comes Under Attack
A group of some 40 Jewish youth from the Hevron Jewish Community settled a new piece of land near Admot Yeshai this morning - and promptly became the target of Arab gunfire. IDF forces engaged in a battle with terrorists on Shalhevet Hill (Abu Sneineh), and an IDF soldier was moderately wounded by a bullet to the leg. The army demands that the children leave the area, and "negotiations" on the matter are underway.

If you believe what you read in most news sources, Palestinians want a homeland and Muslims want control over sites they consider holy. Simple, right? Well, as an Arab-American journalist who has spent some time in the Middle East dodging more than my share of rocks and mortar shells, I've got to tell you that these are just phony excuses for the rioting, trouble-making and land grabbing.

Sharon talks tough, but plans for peace
The IDF will begin employing new tactics in the fight against terror if local Palestinian commanders are unable to bring their areas under control, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon warned the Palestinian Authority yesterday.

Jerusalem Terrorist Attack: Two Dead
Two Israelis are dead, four are seriously wounded, and close to 40 others are hurt. These are the results of a Palestinian terrorist attack in Jerusalem this afternoon, in which one or more Arabs opened fire at a public bus near the French Hill junction. Alert citizens and soldiers opened fire and killed one terrorist, but not before he managed to fire several rounds of fire through the front of the bus - full with many high school girls returning from their studies. This was the 5th terrorist attack at this junction. One of the wounded is the driver, an Arab resident of eastern Jerusalem.
